Legends has openings for Snare, Mellophone, and Baritone

Legends Drum & Bugle Corps has the following brass and battery vacancies for the 2014 season:

Mellophone - 1
Baritone - 1
Snare - 1

2014 Legends Drum Corps Color Guard Staff Announced

 
 

Legends is pleased to announce Jonathan Meader as the new Guard Designer for the 2014 Legends Drum & Bugle Corps.  “Jonathan has been a tremendous asset to the design team these past few months and I look forward to his continued investment to the development of our guard program,” says Ibe Sodawalla, Executive Director/CEO.  Additionally, there will be a number of new guard staff members to instruct and choreograph this season.  I am pleased to bring together a team that has extensive performing and instructional experience in the activity.”  The color guard staff includes:

Carolyn Tobin, Interim Supervisor/Choreographer
Geoff Goelz, Technician/Choreographer
Darren Mickens, Choreographer
Jackie Krasuski, Technician
Adam Bogema, Technician
Jonathan Meader, Consultant

Along with the role as Guard Designer, Jonathan Meader will serve as a consultant for the Color Guard department.

2014 Legends DBC Color Guard Auditions

Legends will be holding Color Guard Auditions for the 2014 season at the April 25-27 Camp Weekend. Congratulations to Legends Percussion on scoring an 89.138 in WGI Independent Open Prelims and advancing to Finals! Legends will be performing in finals on Saturday April 12 at 12:25 pm.

Legends Drum Majors Announced

 
 

Congratulations to our two new drum majors for the 2014 season: Noah Koch and Claire Miller.

“We have established a foundation of excellence and build great leaders at Legends,” says Ibe Sodawalla, Executive Director/CEO. “Noah and Claire bring all the qualities we look for as a leader and I am proud of all their efforts and contributions as members.”

Noah Koch is a mathematics major at Indiana Weslyan University. This will be his 7th year performing with Legends.

Claire Miller is a music education and secondary math education major at Western Michigan University. This will be her 4th year performing with Legends and will also be her age-out season.

Legends past two drum majors have received the DCI Jim Jones Leadership Award as the most outstanding Open Class drum major. Kelly Koch in 2009 and Jenna Wojdula in 2013.

2014 Legends Drum Corps Brass Staff and Corps Administration Announced

Legends will see a number of returning staff and administration for the 2014 season. “I am pleased to see a number of individuals return in our brass and administrative teams,” says Ibe Sodawalla, Executive Director/CEO. “Additionally, some new appointments and positions have been created as I continue to refine all areas to support the quality experience we strive for at Legends.”

The brass instructional team continues to develop over the winter season, as we are reviewing applicants for additional technicians.

Legends is pleased to announce Lindsey Schueller as the new Visual Supervisor for the 2014 Legends Drum & Bugle Corps.  “Lindsey brings a wealth of knowledge from her extensive performing experience at some of our top corps and winter percussion programs,” says Ibe Sodawalla, Executive Director/CEO.  “As a native of Michigan, Lindsey is excited to bring her experiences in the marching arts to her west Michigan roots and I am looking forward to her leadership and development of our visual department.”  The visual staff includes:
